Małopolska Region is one of the top travel destinations in Poland. It owes its popularity to a combination of vast cultural heritage, long standing traditions, exceptional nature nad numerous tourist attractions. Here you will find as many as 14 UNESCO World Heritage Properties. Among them are: Wieliczka and Bochnia Royal Salt Mines, Wooden Churches of Southern Małopolska, Wooden Orthodox churches, or a Historic Centre of Kraków - the city which has witnessed major turning points in the history of Poland since the 13th century.

Spread around the region are several mountain ranges of various types. From forested and gentle slopes of the Beskidy or the Gorce, through the Pieniny with steeper and stony mountainsides, to the rocky, sharp-edged and the highest mountains in Poland - the Tatras. They all offer a network of marked hiking trails, bicycle routes, skiing areas or other opportunities for outdoor activities. Due to exceptional landscapes, wildlife and vegetation in the region, a number of areas have been placed under protection and designated national parks (6 in total), and a number of landscape, reserve or biosphere parks. The region offers unique microclimate and natural mineral water sourced from local springs. Used for health improvement or treatment of a variety of ailments, mineral waters are available in as many as 9 spa towns, such as Krynica-Zdrój, Szczawnica or Muszyna, to name just o few.

Not a long distance from Kraków are equally desirable and memorable place to visit. Sinuous Dunajec River Gorge in the heart the Pieniny, with punt trips and log drivers; Zakopane – a town at the foothill of the Tatras and the winter capital of Poland; Family Entertainment Park Energylandia with the highest number of roller-coasters in Europe; or one-kilometre long Wooden Treetop Trail & 50 meter high Observation Tower in Krynica are just a few examples how you can enjoy your time in Małopolska Region.
