Park embraces northern parts of the Sanocko-Turczanskie Mountains gradually fading into the Przemyskie Foothills. The mountain ridges beautifully shaped according to the ridge-and-valley pattern/ and arranged along the northwest-southeast direction.
In the south-eastern portion of the Park, there is the main European watershed. It separates the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea drainage systems. This slight portion of Polish territory drains into the Black Sea via the River Strwiaz which flows out of the Berdo Mountain and discharges into the Dniestr River. Among peculiarities of the Park there are salt springs mentioned by Stanislaw Staszic (XIXth century).
The majority of salt springs are concentrated around the peak of Na Opalonym.
Apart from brine oil reservoirs occur in the region. Most of them may be found within the belt extending from Brzegi Dolne, via Ropienka, Wankowa and Leszczowate to Witrylow, Temeszow and Obarzym
