Information

One of museum’s greatest attractions is an inn with original Kurpie interior decorations. It serves traditional dishes, such as rejbak and beverages, e.g. alcohol – free juniper beer.Founded in 1927 by Adam Chętnik, this is one of two oldest open – air museums in Poland. It was completely destroyed during the last World War and then rebuilt in the 50s of the 20th century. Today, on 4 ha of land, there are 25 historic Kurpie wooden buildings and thousands of pieces of equipment on display. One of museum’s greatest attractions is an inn with original Kurpie interior decorations. It serves traditional dishes, such as rejbak and beverages, e.g. alcohol – free juniper beer. Some of the buildings, situated in a promenade on the Narew River Bank, are illuminated at night. This emphasis the open – air’s charming setting on high river bank at the mouth of Pisa and Narew rivers.
