For these who love military history, it will be extremely interesting to see the front line of the German fortification – the Pomeranian Bank . It runs along the Gwda river. For these who prefer technology a set of water power stations built at the beginning of the 20 th century will be of interest.
The route is divided into sections. The upper part with the lakes: Studnica, Wierzchowo, Smolęsko and Wielimie, then the river Dołga and lakes: Dołgie, Stępińskie, Dębno and Łąkie which form the canoe route known as the „Szczecinek Loop” . The next part meandersthrough meadows and forests of a charming plain towards Lędyczek. Further on we pass Jastrowie and Piła finishing in Ujście.
It takes 7 – 8 days to do the whole route without any additional trips on small rivers.
