The route is an interesting proposal for lovers of cycling trips. International Bicycle Route EuroRoute R-1 starts in Boulogne (Calais – France) near the English Channel and runs through France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Poland to the Russian border and then to Kaliningrad. In Piła the route is along streets: Wyspiańskiego – 9 Maja Square – Ceglana – Buczka – 1 Maja – 14 Lutego – 11 Listopada – Krzywoustego bridge over the Gwda river – Browarna – Walki Młodych – Piła-Kalina Railway Station. Being in Piła you can stop at the Browarna street and visit two museums: Disctric Museum and Stanisław Staszic Museum. Distric Museum collection includes a variety of materials regarding the city’s and region’s history, it organizes special exhibitions. Stanisław Staszic Museum is the biographical museum. During the route to Kalina we pass complex of the war cemeteries in Leszków.
